BIRD PROTECTION DEVICE – COMBINED TYPE SPIKED PERCHING DETERRENT (LANDING REPELLENT) FOR BREAK SWITCHERS

Description

BPD-BS – is combined bird protection device: perching deterrent (landing repellent) and barrier.

• Device barriers birds and other animals from electric parts of different phases of switchers, prevents phase-to-phase short circuit resulting in emergency stop of consumers’ power supply and bird’s death.
• Device provides perching deterrent (landing repellent) effect. BPD-BS blocks bird from landing at electric parts, elements of switch frame and therefore prevent from short-circuit between current carrying parts and grounded elements of power lines.

Placement category outdoor (medium-cold climate area), mass — 3,2 KG max (including fasteners).

Features

Bird protection device BPD-BS is made of dielectric materials and it is absolutely safe for birds. Harmless rods at the same time block birds from landing at protected elements and prevent short-circuit of neighbor phases. Nowadays BPD-FВ is the only decision for protecting birds at Break Switches.

Set of BPD-BS consist of: protecting grid – 2 pcs, galvanized clamps – 4 pcs.

Current model is adapted for Russian break switches, but it can be designed for particular models
